Torturous Days

Life is never straight nor calm, tragic
when he turns on that so called charm
Not a funny bone in the body
and yet speak of comic timing.
The party is on in full swing
wishing you have a shift to still be in.
The stunned silence isn't quite adulation
the life of this one?, funny thought.
Costume themed? definitely not.
 Bet, you purposely forget.
 Blue velveteen and floppy ears
stands out among jeans and T shirts
This to mock me, I know
Easter bunny stunt pulled out,
just means, "now is time"
to give you the marching lines...

I agree with Gems... How could he make a mistake like that!?

Time to kick that bunny to the curb!

Anna asks, "How could he make a mistake like that?" Believe me, he's not the only guy who has made a mistake like that! This one probably lived to tell about it, though--too many other people at that party.

This is both lighthearted and intriguing. Your writing is always so multifaceted and fun.
Be well, my friend.

Excellent job Rekha !

Standing out in a crowd and being an individual instead of 'jeans and a T-shirt' is a great message ( if the garb is within reason ) ( kind of reminds me of Bridget Jones showing up in a bunny suit...total embarrassment )

Wow. What a great twisty way to write about this prompt!

Standing out can be a good thing...jsut not sure if it would be worth it in that particular get up!

Really original writing here.
