Time for RFW - Romatic Friday Writers and Saturday Centus weekend combo. The devilish part of me loved meshing two meme prompts often, earlier. Time to pay attention to the curve-tailed me!
I put the book down, awaiting the phone call. Mom came in and handed me a cup of coffee. The author's mind reader had nothing on her, sipping the still hot beverage.

TRING...I spilled the
contents of my cup, enough to feel the burning sensation through the thin
cotton of my salwar.
"Mohit..." "David
here.”
"Sorry, I was expecting
Mohit's. What did he say?"
He cleared his
throat. I didn’t need his jumble of words to know. I hated romances for a
good reason.
"Are you
ok?" I wasn't, but had to be...she would need strong shoulders to cry on.

Very interesting post for RFW's Stuck in the middle prompt!!
I'm assuming the call was bad news but I want to know more :)
That was an interesting climbing photo...and an interesting post. Enjoy your break!
Hello Rek, so glad you posted and you still may for RFW 40. Awesome.
There is a great deal going on here. I love the cultural references with the clothing (salwar kameez) and names, Mohit. A little says a lot. Now I want to know why she's going to need your strong shoulders to cry on. Tell us in a later episode perhaps?
I was surprised (don't know why) that the salwar kameez is sold in the stores here in Nadi, Fiji. So many cultures wear this clothing. Fiji is mainly made up of traditional Fijians and Indian Fijians.

Intriguing piece, but a few more words please to understand where this piece is going.
Intriguing. I'm assuming the phone call was from a friend who has just broken up with her boyfriend. I enjoy your cultural excerpts Rek, and I hope you can also join in for Greener Pastures. Have a lovely break :)
Thanks for participating in this weeks RFW challenge Rek.

Hello.
Now I know Miss Jenny only allows you so many words for Saturday Census, but I find this very intriguing for RFW. We need more please. Awesome photos! Thanks for sharing.

Glad you made it this far...would love to hear your take on the words scribbled. A comment every now and then keeps the blues away. :D
Since, crazy Mr. Blogspot won't let me reply to the comments here (is upset with the water ladies ever since they refused to verify visitors)...will do the next best thing, drop in to your blog to say my Vanakkam/Namaste/Salaam/Hello.
