The Highway Notes

Standing on the highway,
watching life zoom by,
rushing to destinations
near and afar.
Left alone, left behind,
that was me

Leaning on the doorway,
watching people walk by,
homeward bound
they all are.
Left alone, left behind,
that was me.

Seated by the window,
 hearing some one talk,
finding a patient listener
how lucky have they got.
Left alone, left behind,
that was me.

Chatting on the social network,
seeing statements being made,
mutually beneficial exchanges
is the new magic word,
Left alone, left behind,
 that was me.

I end the day's notes,
sometimes high, sometimes low,
Pretending that wasn't you,
knowing that was definitely me....

Nice poem..I like its refrain also, "Left alone, left behind,
that was me, that was me",
I think the emotions which helped you to write this poem might have helped me to write my poem, 'Isolation' as well.

Glad you made it this far...would love to hear your take on the words scribbled. A comment every now and then keeps the blues away. :D

Since, crazy Mr. Blogspot won't let me reply to the comments here (is upset with the water ladies ever since they refused to verify visitors)...will do the next best thing, drop in to your blog to say my Vanakkam/Namaste/Salaam/Hello.
