loneliness unsettled on the rocking chair.
Pretending seems to no avail
the body's longings will not quail.
How wrong is it to seek
the pleasures of a mortal existence?
Hidden behind placid, lifeless eyes
beats a heart with bridled, strapped passion.
Lost in this crowd of twos and fours
this single woman aches for warm arms to hold.
