Alas that Lucifer was His best, The Master's Archangel, the most loved. Divinity, so close to him and yet so far. I'd still choose Master over Lucifer. No one is dark enough that light cannot purge.
Funny... not many would voice that they would choose darkness, Lucifer himself, yet how many fall from grace, and choose him momentarily. Lest we stumble on the stairway...
Lost in the empty pages of time, that line alone just stands out to me...I feel that way sometimes...your writing to me reads like a reflection (often) that's the beauty of poetry for me, although a poet writes in perhaps one direction it's all the other directions that one's words can send a reader...lovely. Thanks for stopping by and giving me an exciting idea for another post! Have a day feel with happiness take care!
Very nice. The "entwined" and "entombed" serpent embrace is great. A lust which can only be quenched by supreme evil, and that embrace has powers of rejuvenation...evil is often depicted as a destructive force, but there may be an enlivening power which it has for those who are not merely too weak to escape it, but who embrace and revel in it.
Glad you made it this far...would love to hear your take on the words scribbled. A comment every now and then keeps the blues away. :D
Since, crazy Mr. Blogspot won't let me reply to the comments here (is upset with the water ladies ever since they refused to verify visitors)...will do the next best thing, drop in to your blog to say my Vanakkam/Namaste/Salaam/Hello.

Wow! Rich, dark piece.
I love it.
It describes the struggle between good and evil perfectly. Sometimes we just want to unleash our monsters.
love this.
rich words, enjoyed the uniqueness.

What a strong intro you've penned here! Dark writing fits the image well.

Deliciously dark...unexpected take on the prompt, but I like it.
very nice. I liked this a lot
Nice and dark...
Thank you for sharing
Love the image attached, both dark and deep.
I've been listening to the Stairway to Heaven last night... coincidence.
I like the journey you take us on from the stairway to heaven through constraint and darkness to "rejuvenate." Wow.
xoRobyn
chilling is how I found this
Dark and delicious...
"embrace the vile in me". Best line :-)
Superbly written and highly succint. Well penned.
P.S. - Yours is the most beautiful blog I've seen. :)
Dark Magpie tale. Excellent.

Dark, powerful and poignant! This was wonderful!
dark dark dark
just as dark as can be.
I so like "embrace the vile in me" An interesting coincidence - "vile", "evil" and "live" are anagrams. But we'll draw a "veil" over that . . .
